Kawai is proud to support the Queensland Music Education Conference (QMEC) 2025, Queensland’s premier event for music educators, held from 7–9 July at the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University. With over 100 sessions led by world-class clinicians, the conference offers workshops, ensemble performances, and masterclasses across diverse streams, including instrumental, choral, classroom, and technology. Kawai is thrilled to be the piano sponsor of the Little Lev Piano Competition, taking place from 10–13 July 2025 at Brisbane’s Thomas Dixon Centre. Open to pianists aged 6–13 across Australia and New Zealand, this event offers a unique blend of competition and education, including masterclasses, performances, and feedback from esteemed jurors. All participants receive a prize or gift, with top awards up to $2,000. Although participant applications have closed, you can still come to show your support and check out the amazing talent!

Australian Festival of Chamber Music in Townsville

Join us in Townsville from 25 July to 2 August for the Australian Festival of Chamber Music 2025. Under the direction of violinist Jack Liebeck, the festival features over 30 concerts, including the Ray Golding Sunset Series, AFCM Illuminates, and Evening Concerts. Enjoy performances by international artists like soprano Carolyn Sampson and the Australian String Quartet. The Festival Garden offers free daily events, including children’s concerts and masterclasses. Special events include the Long Table Lunch, and island concerts on Orpheus and Magnetic Islands. Singapore International Music Competition - Australia Live Rounds

The prestigious SIMC is launching its Australia Live Rounds in 2025, offering talented young pianists and violinists a world-class performance platform on home soil. Recognised as one of the Asia-Pacific’s leading youth competitions, SIMC’s arrival in Australia marks an exciting opportunity for aspiring musicians. Live rounds will be held in Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, and Sydney from 26 September to 10 October. Open to performers under 30, SIMC provides students access to scholarships, masterclasses, and global festival invitations. Top performers may be selected for the Gala Concert in Singapore. Be inspired by two of Australia’s leading musical minds in this unmissable professional development event for piano teachers and music educators. Concert pianist Alex Raineri shares his journey, the impact of great teachers, and the role AMEB played in shaping his artistry. Renowned educator Tim Topham offers practical strategies to boost student engagement, tailor lessons to diverse learning styles, and inspire long-term motivation.
