The ES120 feature the latest Responsive Hammer Compact keyboard action, which has been created to deliver the most realistic grand piano touch & feel possible within this compact light-weight digital piano. This action achieves this realistic feel by using grade-weighted hammers and upgraded cushioning material that helps to reduce action noise, when keys are released. This great attention to detail, combined with the latest piano action technology, makes Kawai’s digital piano actions the industry standard for an authentic playing experience.

The ES120 utilises Kawai’s innovative Harmonic Imaging piano sound engine, to reproduce the beautiful sounds of our acoustic piano range, including the magnificent Shigeru Kawai SK-EX and classic Kawai EX concert grand pianos with full 88-key stereo sampling, string and damper resonances.

ES120 also features a selection of new electronic piano, strings, and bass sounds from the larger ES520, providing a strong variety of colourful sounds for any musical occasion.

These impressive sounds are supported by a 20W amplifier and speaker system that deliver a rich, well-rounded sound with impressive volume and clarity. A new Low Volume Balance feature allows for the adjustment of characteristics of the piano for optimal expression when playing at low volume levels. The advanced Spatial Headphone Sound technology works to further enhance the depth and realism of sounds heard through headphones, while also helping to reduce auditory fatigue when listening for extended periods of time.
