The piano is one of the essential building blocks of music education.

A music department with new, high quality pianos says loud and clear that it is committed to providing the very best music programs for existing and potential students.

Kawai is a specialist piano company and has long been an innovator in piano design, building quality and beauty into all its models, from a go-anywhere digital to the world’s most advanced concert grand pianos.

At Kawai, we have helped music departments across Australia and New Zealand to give their students quality pianos to play: new instruments that are expertly maintained, replaced on a regular basis, and supplied in just the right mix for education of grands, upright, hybrids, and digital pianos.

Music education encourages innovative and intuitive thinking. The most creative musicians require the most innovative and intuitive instruments. Kawai pianos are inspiring to the imagination and are consistently at the forefront of technological innovation. They are the obvious choice for music educators wanting to train the musicians of the future.

The competitive pricing structure, substantial Kawai Education Rebate, and trade-in deal for our existing pianos made it possible for us to replace all of our upright pianos at the same time and at an affordable price.

The piano is central to music making, from composition and accompaniment to individual and full orchestral performance. The University is grateful for the advice provided by the Kawai education team in the selection of our new grand piano.

Our Commitment

Caroline Chisholm College recently purchased a GX-6 grand piano and two K-300 pianos. The GX-6 is the centrepiece of our new recital space and is the first grand piano the college has ever had. The instrument has lifted our students' expectations of themselves as musicians and they now understand the privilege and pleasure of learning music. These new pianos are a multi-generational investment in our College's arts culture.
